During the 1980s, Abimael Guzman led Shining Path into being one of the most brutal terrorist groups of the 20th century. Over 20,000 people died. In April 1990, the Peruvian Secret Service assigns police officer Benedicto Jimenez to form a secret unit to capture Guzman. With limited resources; one car, four radios, two old desks, and a typewriter, Jimenez and his team overcome limitations to capture the most wanted Latin American terrorist in September 1992. The documentary has first time interviews with those involved in the capture of Guzman, it contains never before seen and recently de-classified photographic and video elements, and contains recreations of the events.
Durante los años 80, Abimael Guzmán dirigió Sendero Luminoso, uno de los más brutales grupos terroristas del siglo XX.Más de 20,000 personas murieron. En abril de 1990, el Servicio de Inteligencia peruano encargó al oficial Benedicto Jiménez la organización de una unidad secreta para capturar a Guzmán. Con recursos limitados: un carro, cuatro radios, dos carpetas viejas y una máquina de escribir, Jiménez y su equipo sobrepasaron las dificultades y capturaron a Guzmán en setiembre de 1992. Este documental entrevista por primera vez a los implicados en la captura, contiene material gráficos y videos nunca antes vistos y recientemente declasificados, así como recreaciones de los eventos.
